Cautious Observation

61 x 46 cm
Acrylic and sawdust on canvas
$350

Created from a moment captured while travelling through Milford Sound in New Zealand, Cautious Observationtransforms a natural crevasse in the cliff face into an imagined doorway. The work explores the human tendency to search for meaning, pathways, and possibilities within unfamiliar landscapes. Through layered texture and atmospheric forms, the painting sits somewhere between memory and imagination — a quiet invitation to step into the unknown.

Not Lonely Anymore

30.5 x 25.4 cm
Oil on canvas
$200

Not Lonely Anymore reflects on the idea that the journey toward self-understanding is not meant to be walked alone. Through soft symbolism and intimate scale, the work considers companionship, emotional connection, and the comfort found in shared experience. It speaks to the quiet relief of feeling seen and understood.

The Welcome Hand on the Small of My Back

61 x 46 cm
Acrylic and sawdust on canvas
$350

An imagined landscape marking either the beginning, middle, or end of a shadow figure’s long journey, The Welcome Hand on the Small of My Back considers themes of support, transition, and surrender. The work exists in an in-between space — part memory, part dream — where unseen forces gently guide us forward, even when the destination remains unclear.

Fork in the Road

Fork in the Road

46 x 61 cm
Acrylic and sawdust on canvas
$350

Inspired by a zoomed-in view of a river seen from a suspension bridge along the Hooker Valley Track in New Zealand, Fork in the Road reflects on perspective and choice. By isolating a small fragment of landscape, the work transforms a real location into an abstract psychological terrain, where movement and uncertainty coexist. The textured surface mirrors the shifting nature of memory and decision-making.
