Flora Reframed - Pop Gallery - July 2025
🌸 Flora Reframed: A Bold New Exhibition Coming to POP Gallery This July
This July, step into a world where florals break free from tradition and bloom with attitude. Flora Reframed is my latest body of work — a vibrant, colour-soaked celebration of modern painted florals, each one housed in lovingly sourced vintage frames.
On show at POP Gallery throughout July 2025, this exhibition is all about contrast: bold vs. delicate, contemporary vs. nostalgic, chaos vs. control. Each piece reimagines what a floral painting can be — loud, joyful, and full of life — while the vintage frames nod to the quieter, more romantic aesthetics of the past.
These paintings are not your grandma’s florals (though she might love them too). Think electric colour palettes, oversized blooms, and expressive brushstrokes, all bursting from the confines of intricate gold frames and thrifted treasures. It’s a playful reclaiming of space, femininity, and beauty — with a wink.
Whether you’re an art lover, a vintage obsessive, or just looking for something bright to shake up your world, Flora Reframed is for you.

Shadow Capital ’ by Nicholas Johnson.
Shadow Capital aims to discuss ideas around the nature of capitalist society and how we have survived with these consumeristic environments as well as how these environments may shape and change us and our society over time. Using motifs which allude to nature to help bring these.
Consumerist environments into view, due to our continued engagement we have a tendency to see them as part of the existing landscape rather than part of a separate parallel system.
